What are you looking for?

Commonwealth Games Logger @ BBC Sport

Contract Length: 4th April to 15th April

Location: MediaCity, Salford

Salary: Dependent on Experience

Deadline: 9th February 2018

BBC Sport needs support to help log the Commonwealth Games so our production teams know where to find every moment, whether it’s a 100 metres track heat; netball game or the last few lengths of a final in the swimming pool.

Placement Details

The team will be responsible for creating detailed and accurate logs from hundreds of hours of Commonwealth Games footage. These logs will be essential for the production of BBC Sport’s TV, Radio, Online and Social Media content.

Ideal Candidate

You must have a passion for Sport – we would also like to know if you have a specific knowledge or interest in any of the niche events at the Commonwealth Games.

You will need to have excellent attention to detail, be computer savvy and work well on your own, although full technical support will be on hand.

The rota will be scheduled in 8-Hour shifts across a 16-Hour period – so you will need to have stamina and be able to work flexibly. There will definitely be night time shifts because of the time difference in Australia so it is desirable that applicants base themselves locally for the duration of the games.

Accuracy – these logs will be used for years to come to enable programme makers to find that perfect piece of footage.
