Football Writing Internship, 90min

90min is one of the world’s largest football media platforms, with our mission being to champion fan-generated media as a key ingredient of sports journalism.

We’re visited by more than 65 million unique users per month – who keep coming back for the best in football news, opinion and fan views – while we also record over 500 million monthly social media impressions across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat.

90min are looking for enthusiastic contributors hoping to kick-start a career in sports journalism. You’ll work together with our team of editors to produce engaging, social and opinionated football content, and your articles will be distributed throughout our huge network of readers.

Successful applicants will be expected to complete two days of work a week over a four-month internship period. Work patterns are negotiable, though availability on weekends is desired. The position is based remotely (ie. work from home, university, wherever you like), and articles would be written on a voluntary basis.

Throughout your time with us you will receive expert feedback from our editorial team, offering a unique opportunity to fine-tune your skills as a writer, while you’ll simultaneously build a sizeable portfolio of work.

You will also participate in the creative processes behind our cutting-edge articles, which will give you a unique insight into content strategy in the digital sports media industry.

In addition to the enviable platform your writing would receive, we offer a letter of recommendation and/or professional references at the end of the term. Top performers may also be considered for paid positions.

Email academy@90min.com to get involved.

All applications must be submitted by January 29, 2017.
